Mervin Whea serves as Vice Chair and Events Chair of the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (NVBCC), where he plays a vital leadership role in advancing the organization’s mission of empowering businesses, strengthening partnerships, and creating meaningful economic opportunities throughout Northern Virginia and beyond. In his leadership roles, Mervin works closely with the Board of Directors, chamber leadership, members, and strategic partners to drive organizational growth, enhance member engagement, and develop impactful programming that supports entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders.

In addition to his work with NVBCC, Mervin serves as Board Chair of the Virginia Minority Chambers, where he supports initiatives centered around advocacy, economic development, entrepreneurship, and expanding opportunities for minority-owned businesses and underserved communities. Through his leadership, he remains committed to building strategic partnerships and creating ecosystems that foster innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

Professionally, Mervin serves as Director of Sales at Glue Up, a leading all-in-one engagement and membership management platform supporting associations, chambers of commerce, nonprofits, and membership organizations. In this role, he partners with organizations across the country to help modernize operations, strengthen member engagement, streamline processes, and leverage technology to achieve long-term growth and success.

Mervin is also a dedicated member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he actively supports leadership, mentorship, scholarship, and community service initiatives. Through both his professional and civic involvement, he remains passionate about creating opportunities that uplift communities and empower future leaders.
