William J. McBorrough is an accomplished cybersecurity and risk management executive, educator, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience designing, implementing, and leading strategic information security programs across government and private sector enterprises. As Chief Executive Officer and Chief Security Advisor at MCGlobalTech, he guides clients in managing enterprise cyber risk, regulatory compliance, and security operations across critical infrastructure sectors, including government, healthcare, finance, and energy. 

A recognized leader in information assurance and regulatory compliance, Mr. McBorrough has advised federal, state, and local government agencies on cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure protection, and risk management. His work has supported the secure transformation of national systems through alignment with NIST, CMMC, HIPAA, ISO, and PCI DSS frameworks.  

In addition to MCGlobalTech, Mr. McBorrough is a co-founder and Chief Security Officer at multiple cybersecurity startups, including Postured.io, an innovative cybersecurity program management platform; Next Gen Cyber, a managed security service providing 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring and risk management; and CyberComply.us, an AI-powered platform helping defense contractors achieve and maintain compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification.  

An active educator, Mr. McBorrough serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Southern New Hampshire University, and Washington University of Science and Technology. His previous academic roles include faculty appointments at George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, and EC-Council University, where he has trained future cybersecurity professionals and leaders. 

Mr. McBorrough holds a Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from George Mason University. He maintains multiple professional certifications, including Certified Information System Security Professional, Certified in Risk and Information Security Controls, Certified Information Security Auditor, Certified CMMC Professional, and Lead Certified CMMC Auditor.
